RULES

Article 2. Theme of the Work

"The color of melody" explore how musical melodies can be transformed into colors and shapes in visual art. Artists can create paintings that echo the emotions, rhythms, or melodies of specific musical works.

Article 3. Instructions for Participation
1. Any illustration published or produced for the first time within two years is eligible for the competition

 

2. Entries are accepted in black and white or color, with no restrictions on creative techniques. Both single and series works need to be marked with the name of the work and the creation description. 

 

3. The submitted electronic work must be in JPEG format with a file size of no more than 5 MB.

 

4. After the results are announced, the participants who have won the gold and silver awards can decide whether to go to Flaine, France for the exhibition. The works can be exhibited in their original form or printed by the organizers for exhibition. The maximum size of the paper for exhibiting works is 50 x 70 cm or 70 x 50 cm, and works exceeding this size will not be accepted by the organizer.

 

5. The organizer can provide exhibition services for overseas participants.

 

6. Participants can participate in master class activities organized by the organizer.

 

7. The works must be created by the participants themselves, and the use of various software is strictly prohibited. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited in submitted works, and any resulting liability shall be borne by the author himself, and the qualification for participation shall be cancelled.

 

8. The copyright of the entries remains with the authors, but the organizers reserve the right to use the entries in activities related to the competition

Article 4. Registration Fee

1. Registration fee : 20 euros per work, maximum of 6 works per submission, with a maximum of 4 works selected.

 

2. Exhibition fee : 240 euros per work. If the original work is exhibited, the postage is paid by the exhibitor; If the exhibition is printed, the organizer will be responsible for printing and mounting the works.

Article 5. Prize Settings
The Opus Artis Paris international illustration competition prize settings as below:


The Gold Award will be awarded to contestants with at least 90/100points;

The Silver Award will be awarded to contestants with at least 85/100 points;

The Bronze Award will be awarded to contestants with at least 80/100 points;

The Honor Award will be awarded to contestants with at least 75/100 points;


*The jury has the right to decide on the final outcome of the competition.
*The jury has the right to decide to leave the ranking blank, and contestants shall not object.
*The jury will score the contestants and select the best contestants according to the evaluation criteria of the same category.

Contestants will receive both prize certificate and comments after the competition. The list of the results will be announced on 10th May, 2025.

Article 6. Steps for Participation

1. Photographing works : take high-quality photos or scans of each work to ensure that the work is not framed and the light is even, and the photos are cropped to the edge of the work.

 

2. Check the image quality : confirm the image quality and correct orientation, and ensure that the file size does not exceed 5MB. It is recommended to save the file in JPEG format with a file size of at least 1MB.

 

3. Online submission : website submission

 

4. Upload photos : upload photos of your works and fill out the application form.

 

5. Payment of Fees

 

*Upon completing the registration and submitting the work, the participant automatically agrees to abide by the rules of the contest as publicly announced by the organizing committee.

Exhibition : It will be displayed at Auditorium Eric et Sylvie Boissonas of Flaine in France from July 20th to July 26th, 2025.

Article 1. Competition Overview

The Opus Artis Paris International Illustration Competition is open to contestants worldwide. The competition is divided into two phases: the competition phase and the exhibition phase. All participants are required to submit their entries as per the instructions for the competition.

 

The Opus Artis Paris International Illustration Competition will issue certificates and judge's comments to the contestants. Based on the competition results, the judging panel will select outstanding participants to exhibit their works in France. The exhibition will be held at the Auditorium Eric et Sylvie Boissonas of Flaine in France from July 20th to July 26th , 2025.
